Hey guys!
Sorry for the sudden disappearance. Was really busy with school. I've got this coming week off so i'll be painting alot to make up for the time i dedicated to school the past 2 weeks.
Anyhow, this is a matte painting i did in 12 hours. I challenged myself to start with 2 small pictures. 1 pic with some clouds, and one pic with some land. both were very small. i planted them to the left side and painted the rest of the scene in. so this is 20% picture and 80% pure photoshop painting.
enjoy!

A plane crashed in the mountains and these are its remains; the poor survivors slowly walk away into the wilderness...
This is beautifully done.. especially the incoming snowfall. The perspective is wonderful.. as it really makes the mountain range look menacing.. as it towers above the tiny people below. The plane looks great as do the flash lights. Only the snow drifts from the obvious crash landing are not lengthy enough.. as the plane would have slid a decent distance upon impact. Overall.. great work.. as always.
MMM I adore the heavy mood of this picture and would revel in being able to watch you work! I would love to see how you create a piece like this. I can almost feel the stark coldness of the impending night and hear the crackling of the miniscule fire as a dreaded fearful silence grips at the survivors. The tiny specs of orange light actually go quite far to draw the eye to them, very nice contrast to the blues/greys and blacks of the rest of the scene! VERY nice.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
